The 111-year-old Tuatara

Henry, the 111-year-old Tuatara, an indigenous New Zealand reptile regarded as one of the last living descendants of the dinosaurs, rests on the arm of his handler at the Southland Museum at Invercargill, New Zealand, on Aug. 6, 2008. Henry, who has proved that when it comes to siring offspring, it's never too late. Henry and his mate Mildred, 70-80 years old, have laid 12 eggs, of which 11 hatched Monday, Jan. 26, 2009.
