Gamma Blast, Nebula Dust, More

-A new global view of the moon in near-infrared has shown the body's shape and topography with higher density and better vertical resolution than ever before.

Also for the first time, scientists tracked data on the far side of the moon, which revealed that structures in the far side region do not resemble their near side counterparts.

This may mean that the far side had cooler early conditions than previously thought, scientists reported in Science magazine on February 13, 2009.
